GLP-1 care costs: membership, medication and insurance

There are often three separate bills

1. Care: membership or clinician visits, and sometimes separate coaching.
2. Medication: pharmacy price or insurance cost-sharing for the exact product and strength.
3. Other charges: tests, delivery, supplies or optional services.

Do not add a minimum membership price to a minimum medication price unless both apply to the same plan, patient and billing period. An annual-plan monthly equivalent is not necessarily a monthly payment.

What is due now, and what comes later?

These are care-fee examples checked 21 October 2026, not complete treatment quotes or a cheapest-provider ranking. They cover different services. Medicine and any other excluded charges must be added.

Two examples for a three-month budget

• Ro rolling care: $39 + $149 + $149 = $337 for the first three membership payments, before medication. This assumes the introductory offer applies and membership continues.
• PlushCare: $0 + $19.99 + $19.99 + $129 = $168.98 for three membership months and one initial self-pay visit. Add every follow-up appointment, medication and lab bill. One visit is an arithmetic assumption, not an adequate-care schedule.

A lower partial subtotal does not establish better value or a lower treatment total. Ask each provider for the same period, prescribed product, required visits and all compulsory charges. You can also use our free appointment and medication records to prepare questions.

Four weeks and a calendar month differ

Thirteen four-week supplies cover 364 days. Twelve monthly payments usually refer to a year. Ask whether medication supply, clinical access and payment renew on the same schedule. Do not turn this arithmetic into a medication schedule.

Check what stops when you cancel

Before paying, ask for the next charge date, the cancellation method and deadline, and which prepaid charges can be refunded. Cancelling clinical membership and stopping a medication refill may be separate actions.

• Remedy Meds describes 28-day billing, while its terms allow renewal charges up to ten days early. Confirm the actual debit date, not just the expected delivery date.
• Mochi Health accepts membership cancellation through the account or by phone, but not email. A medication refill must be changed or cancelled before it reaches the pharmacy.

Insurance needs its own check

Ask whether the clinical visit and the medication are covered separately; whether prior authorization is required; and what remains under your deductible, copay or coinsurance.
